Grant funding to re-open in 2024.

At a recent meeting the Board of Trustees agreed that Grant Giving activity will re-open in 2024. The deadline for submissions will be announced early next year.

Therefore, the Eva Crane Trust will NOT be accepting applications for the December 2023, deadline.

This was a difficult decision taken on advice from financial experts. The Trustees are currently investing in a new website and facilities to improve the application process. They also wish to preserve the financial reserves in the current economic climate guaranteeing their commitment to all their current awardees.

At the moment the Trust is providing financial support to 10 exciting research projects around the world. These include a pilot study using e-DNA to monitor pollination being carried out in Thailand, assessing the genomic differences in bumblebees in West Ireland and the ethnological studies of beekeeping in the Peruvian Amazon to name a few!

We were also pleased to continue our support to the SOLATINA Conference held in Chile in September and the COLOSS conference held in Slovenia in October.

In the meantime, we apologise for any inconvenience the moratorium may have caused but hope you can understand that it is for the long term benefit of the Trust and its future grant giving activities.

Please check our Facebook and X (formerlyTwitter) pages, as well as the website for any other updates.
