Dear Colleagues,
we are pleased to announce EurBee 11, the 11th European Conference of Apidology, which will take place in Bologna, Italy, from 7 to 10 September 2026.
EurBee 11 will bring together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and stakeholders working on managed and wild bees, pollination, and the sustainability of agroecosystems. The conference aims to provide a multidisciplinary forum to discuss recent scientific advances, methodological innovations, and societal challenges related to bee health, biodiversity, and ecosystem services.
The scientific programme will cover a broad range of topics, including bee health and welfare, agroecology, climate change, interactions between managed and wild bees, monitoring networks, technological and AI-based applications in bee research, microbiome and nutrition, genetic diversity and resilience, and policy frameworks addressing pollinator decline. Cross-cutting and innovative approaches will get special attention.
EurBee 11 is jointly organised by CREA-AA - Research Centre for Agriculture and Environment and the University of Bologna - Department of Agriculture and Food Sciences and will be hosted at the modern Congress Centre in the historic city of Bologna, a long-standing hub of scientific and cultural exchange.
